Director's Statement

 "I am not what has happened to me, I am what I choose to become." - CARL YUNG.  If you're haunted by the past, how do you choose your future? And how do you choose who to become, if you don't know who you were in the first place? These questions birthed the story of BLACKBIRD. The idea of telling a story of two people meeting, who have both lost their identities due to different circumstances, but are now trapped mentally in other places. This interested us. 

                                                        Bio's

BLACKBIRD is a collaboration between  TIM FELLINGHAM (an Australian actor based in London, with this being his directorial debut) and CHARLOTTE STENTE NIELSEN (a Danish director based in Copenhagen, with a cand.mag in film science). Tim and Charlotte have a great eye for film aesthetics and experimental storytelling techniques, their styles are influenced by the more avant-garde cinema and art-house film traditions. As directors they both hold a natural affinity towards the fiction film universe.
